LAWRENCE — Carlton Bragg’s basketball career as a Kansas Jayhawk is over.
According toKUsports.com, Bragg has been granted his release.
“We appreciate Carlton’s efforts the last two years at Kansas,” KU coach Bill Self said today in a release. “We certainly respect his decision to pursue other opportunities. We wish him nothing but the very best and hope he is able to reach his dreams and goals.”
After a promising freshman season, Bragg was involved with off-the-court problems during his sophomore season that led to two separate suspensions. He was a starter at the beginning of the year, but at the end he didn’t even play in the final game of the season against Oregon in the Elite Eight.
