Central Christian College is looking for a new women’s basketball coach.

Chris Honeck, who directed the Tigers the past four years, has announced his resignation.

Honeck was 35-83 in his tenure and 9-17 this past season, which was marked by the fact he had only seven available players throughout the year.

Honeck’s best year was the 2014-15 season when the Tigers were 10-21.

“During coach Honeck’s tenure at Central Christian College, he has had a positive Christian influence in the lives of so many young women,” CCC Athletic Director Twiggs Reed said. “Central Christian College will always be grateful for his dedication and commitment to this institution as well as to his players.  All of us here have the utmost gratitude to coach Honeck and hope and pray the very best for him and his family in the future.”

A search is under way for his replacement.
