Mac men netters roll by Bethel

McPherson College’s men’s tennis team is now 4-0 in the KCAC with four shutouts after blanking Bethel College 9-0 here Monday.

The Bulldogs won the three doubles matches to start the day, then cruised to a 6-0 advantage in singles.

Mac goes to Tabor on Thursday before the big showdown at Bethany on Saturday in what is expected to decide the conference championship.

Doubles teams winning for Mac were Joan-Marc Fajula Rodriguez-Hector Carrillo (8-2), Timo Hoelzmann-Juan Alejandro Jimenez (8-1) and Ahmed Lahlou-Nicholas Wahl (8-4).

Those six players then won singles matches for the 21st-ranked Bulldogs. Rodriguez, Lahlou and Carrillo all won 6-0, 6-0. Wahl won 6-3, 6-2, Hoelzmann was a 6-2, 6-0 winner and Jimenez triumphed 6-0, 6-1.
