LINDSBORG — Smoky Valley’s baseball team got back into the win column on Tuesday by defeating Kingman 7-4 in the first game of a twinbill.
The Vikings used a four-run second inning as the impetus to their second victory of the season.
Zach Able was 3 for 4 to lead the offense. Brett Heitschmidt and Austin Golden both collected two hits. Austin Lustfield was the winning pitcher.
In the second game, pitching dominated. Ryan Weldy threw a strong game in defeat for the Vikes. Heitschmidt and Zion Thomas had two hits apiece.
Smoky Valley is scheduled to host Haven on Thursday.
