GALVA — Canton-Galva’s softball team was uber-impressive on Tuesday with a pair of routs against Bennington.
The Eagles’ Taylor Everett pitched a two-hit shutout in the opener as the Eagles blazed to a 21-0 victory.
Taryn Nordstrom was outstanding at the plate by going 4 for 4 with three singles and a double. The big inning was the second when the Eagles put 11 runs on the board. For the game, C-G pounded out 24 hits.
Including Nordstrom, others with multiple-hit games were Everett, Ashton Brewer, Jayci Mastre, Alex Koehn, Nicole Casebeer and Alexa Burch. Mastre, Everett and Norstrom all collected three RBIs.
The hits just kept on coming in Game 2 as it was a 15-2 Eagle success.
Brewer was a mainstay with five RBIs on three hits and Nordstrom added four hits. A big inning was the seventh when the Eagle struck for five runs.
Other multiple hitters were Casebeer, Logan Dawes, Mastre, Everett and Koehn.
