LINDSBORG — Smoky Valley and Haven split a pair of well-played, low-scoring baseball games on Thursday.
The Vikings won the opener 4-3 by scoring a run in the seventh inning. Big hitters were Brett Heitschmidt (3 for 4, RBI), Austin Lustfield (2 for 4, double, 2 RBIs) and Zach Able (2 for 3).
Able was the winning pitcher.
The Vikings were blanked 3-0 in Game 2. Able took the loss and Austin Golden led the offense with two hits.
Smoky Valley is now 3-6 on the year and goes to Hoisington on Tuesday.
