ABILENE — McPherson High’s girls track and field team won the Abilene Invitational on Friday, while the boys took second.

Details are sketchy as MHS coach Jace Pavlovich did not have a copy of the final results as of yet.

However, Emma Ruddle did win three events (100, 200 and 100 hurdles), while Elle Barrett as usual won the long and triple jumps. The Bullpups also won the 4 x 100 relay. MHS scored 114 points to finish ahead of Clay Center (90).

On the boys’ side, Abilene outscored MHS 99-80 for the title. Andric McGill won the high jump and the Bullpups also won the 4 x 100 relay.

Results will be posted when available.
