COUNCIL GROVE — Moundridge’s track and field teams journeyed to Council Grove on Friday and came away with a fourth- and sixth-place team finish.

The Wildcat boys scored 60 points to finish behind Council Grove (124), Osage City (84) and Mission Valley (73). MHS and Riley County actually tied for the fourth.

Mason Dyck accounted for a chunk of Wildcat points by winning the discus, and taking second in the javelin and shot put.

The MHS girls scored 52 points for sixth. Riley County and Herington tied for first with 86. The Wildcats had good quality as Jamya O’Quinn won the 100 and 200, Ellika Ptacek captured the 300 hurdles and MHS won the 4 x 100 with Ptacek, Jamya O’Quinn, Josalyn O’Quinn and MaKayla Blair the runners.
