McPherson College men’s basketball coach Tim Swartzendruber continues to be hot on the recruiting trail.

Swartzendruber has announced the signing of Ell-Saline guard Tanier Clifford to a letter of intent.

“We had the opportunity to watch and evaluate Tanier during our Fall Basketball League," Swartzendruber said. "We felt Tanier fit our culture and we are excited to have him join our program and college. Tanier has a lot of upside from a basketball skills perspective. He is a great student and active in other things besides basketball. We are thrilled he chose McPherson College to continue his education and basketball career."

Clifford, a 6-1 guard, averaged 4.6 points, 3 rebounds an an assist a game for the Cardinals.

He has played two years of high school golf and is a member of the Ell-Saline chapter of the Future Farmers of America. In addition, he made the honor roll and participated in Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Friends of Rachel.

He will major in business.
