POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. — Central Christian College’s baseball team split with College of the Ozarks on Thursday in a doubleheader that originally was supposed to be played in McPherson, but with rain in the forecast the venue was changed.

The Bobcats won Game 1 2-1, spoiling a nice pitching effort by the Tigers’ Keaton Snyder, who allowed only one run in six innings.

CCC had seven hits, two apiece by Mario Rivera and Ian Eshelman. The Bobcats won it on a walk-off with two out in the bottom of the eighth.

Central, though, came back to win the nightcap 10-7, scoring five runs in the seventh inning. The Tigers pounded out 13 hits, including three by Nate Patterson (who drove in three runs as well). Hunter Wilcher, Chance Carney and Jaime Romeu had two hits and Zane Howard drove in two runs.

Landon Stevens was the winner, fanning six and not allowing a walk.

The Tigers, now 14-33, wrap up the regular season today with two more games against College of the Ozarks. Central will be hosting a regional tournament May 11-14 at Light Capital Diamond.
