Mac women netters blitz Bethel

TOPEKA — That was fast.

McPherson College’s women’s tennis team, ranked No. 23 in the country and the KCAC regular-season champion, wiped out Bethel 5-0 in a semifinal match stopped this morning once the Bulldogs had the victory clinched.

The Bulldogs move on to Saturday’s 9 a.m. KCAC Postseason Tournament championship.  Mac won all three doubles matches and once it won two singles match, the Bulldogs’ day was over quickly. The Bulldogs have to win the tournament to assure of playing again in the national tournament. They will play either Tabor or Southwestern, teams they defeated easily during the regular season.
