Central Christian College’s softball team held Senior Day here Friday and Sterling College spoiled the festivities.

The Warriors won the first game 11-2 and then routed the Tigers 17-3 in Game 2. Central finishes the season 9-36 as its games today with McPherson College have been postponed because of rain and won’t be made up.

Central has a chunk of players to replace as six played their final game— Cheyenne Bouis, Chandler Gerk, Mandy Jacques, Ashly Westgarth, Tara Kemp and Constance Baker.

• Sterling 11, Central 2 — Bouis hit a two-run homer to account for the Tigers’ runs. Sterling had back-to-back five-run innings to spark the victory.

• Sterling 17, Central 3 — The Warriors took all the suspense out of this one with nine runs in the second inning.

Jacques drove in two runs for the Tigers, while Kasi Kraus and Rayne Wright had two hits apiece.
