Baseball Bulldogs draw No. 1 Eagles in first round

The KCAC Postseason Baseball Tournament gets under way on Wednesday in Great Bend.

McPherson College, the No. 6 seed, opens tourney play at 11 a.m. against regular-season champion Oklahoma Wesleyan.

In other first-round games Wednesday, No. 2 seed Tabor takes on No. 5 York at 3:00 and No. 3 Sterling is matched against No. 4 Friends at 7:00.

If the Bulldogs win, they would play at 3:00 Thursday. A first-round loss and they drop into the loser’s bracket at 11 a.m. Thursday.

The tournament is double elimination.

Mac finished KCAC play with a 12-14 record after finishing 7-19 last year. The Bulldogs are 24-28 overall after going 20-35 last year.

The tournament is scheduled to be completed on Saturday with the 1 p.m. championship game. If an extra game is needed, it would be played at 4:00.
