MOUNDRIDGE — Moundridge’s softball team improved to 11-4 on the season by coasting to a pair of easy victories over Little River on Tuesday.
The Wildcats won Game 1 11-1 as Jadah Moore twirled a two-hitter and fanned four in five innings.
The Sebrants were huge as Zizi was 3 for 4, while Keira was 2 for 4 with four RBIs.
Game 2 was more of the same as the Wildcats needed only three innings to end it with a 16-1 rout.
Zizi Sebrant was immense again going 3 for 5 with three RBIs. Chelsey Knight, Keira Seibrant and Lexi Lorimor all added two hits. Zizi Sebrant pitched the first two innings and Zaelynn Foth threw the final frame.
“Our kids came flying out of the gates today,” Moundridge coach Aaron Annis said. “We were in control the whole time. Our seniors stepped up and made great plays on offense and defense. These were two good wins that we need on Senior Night. Lexi Lorimor stepped up to the plate today and hit the ball so well. I was pleased with the way she was making contact with the ball all night. She is improving every day. Today was a great booster for us, as we will be facing two good teams next week, Sedgwick and Sterling to finish off our regular season.”
