MARION — Marion had its hitting shoes on Friday in sweeping Canton-Galva’s baseball team.

The Warriors ended both games in three innings, taking the opener 21-2 and the nightcap 17-2.

In Game 1, the Eagles jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but the Warriors scored eight in the bottom of the inning, then got on the merry-go-round in the second with 13 runs.

Hunter Pearson had the lone C-G hit and drove in both runs.

In Game 2, the Eagles again got out to a 2-0 lead, but five runs in both the first and second innings and finally seven in the third ended it early.

Nick Pearson had a triple and RBI for C-G, while Devyn Elkins had the other hit. Richard Peterson was credited with an RBI.

C-G is now 3-9 on the season.
