Perhaps the highlight signing so far for McPherson College men’s basketball coach Tim Swartzendruber was announced on Monday.

Dorian Paige, a breathtakingly quick point guard from Tuscon, Ariz., put pen to paper recently to attend McPherson College.

The 5-9 Paige played his freshman year at Pima Community College, averaging 8.4 points, 3.7 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.6 steals.

He transferred to Eastern Arizona College for his sophomore year and averaged 4.2 points, 2.3 rebounds. 2.1 assists and 1.3 steals.

“Dorian was one of the top point guards in the Arizona Junior College Conference,"  Swartzendruber said. "Not only is he an outstanding basketball player, he is a great student and has extremely high character. He is a leader and makes people around him better. We are ecstatic about him choosing McPherson to continue his education and basketball career. He will be a tremendous addition and immediate impact player for us."
