It was a bittersweet day Friday for Central Christian College’s baseball team.

The Tigers won both of their games in pool play in the NCCAA Regional Tournament at Light Capital Diamond, but did not advance as Oklahoma Baptist moved on from CCC’s pool.

Zane Howard’s four-hit shutout led Central to a 2-0 win in the Tigers’ opener. He fanned five and walked only one.

Hunter Wilcher was on fire at the plate by going 3 for 3.

Central then defeated Randall University 10-5 with Landon Stevens getting the win, with Cameron Bonds finishing up.

Wilcher finished a perfect day at the plate by going 2 for 2, and he also scored three runs and drove in five. One of his hits was a homer.

Howard added two RBIs.

Central finished the year 16-36.
