McPherson College’s football team will play 10 games this season — five at home and five on the road.

The schedule was released today.

The Bulldogs open their campaign at home on Sept. 2 against Texas Wesleyan, which has revived its program after nearly 70 years of dormancy.

After a week off, the Bulldogs begin KCAC play by making the short trip to Lindsborg to take on Bethany.

The KCAC home opener is Sept. 30 against Bethel. Other home games are against Ottawa, Tabor and Sterling.

“To kick off at home against a new program like Texas Wesleyan is intriguing, to say the least," Mac coach Paul Mierkiewicz said. "A lot of unknowns there. In between, we have our Blake Reed Memorial Game and Homecoming — two games that are very important to this program, this school and this community. And then to finish the season with two games at the stadium, that will be very special for our seniors.”

Here is the complete schedule:

Sept. 2 — Texas Wesleyan, 3:00

Sept. 16 — at Bethany, 7:00

Sept. 23 — at Southwestern, 7:00

Sept. 30 — Bethel, 7:00

Oct. 21 — at Friends, 1:30
