When McPherson High track and field coach Jace Pavlovich reported on the Bullpups’ performances from Friday’s regional meet at Buhler, he did not have team scores available.

As it turned out, the Bullpup girls took first place with 86 points, finishing just ahead of Abilene, which scored 73. Concordia was third with 67. Smoky Valley was 14th with 11.

As expected, Buhler’s boys were first with 93, while Scott City was second with 68 and Pratt was third with 66. MHS was ninth with 21 1/2, one spot ahead of Smoky Valley (20 1/2).

MHS’ state qualifiers were listed in an earlier post.
