BC men cagers lead KCAC in academics

LINDSBORG — Bethany College’s men’s basketball team had the most players named as NAIA Scholar-Athletes of any of the 12 KCAC schools.

Six Swedes received honors.

They include Tyler Larkin, sophomore guard; Jalen Thompson, senior guard; Keil Kelly, sophomore guard; Ian Merzwinski, senior forward; Elvis Okafor, junior forward; and Jesse Patrick, junior forward. 

Student-athletes must have sophomore standing at the start of the sport season, maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.333 on a 4.0 scale and letter in their sport.
