The 22nd annual “Victory Soccer Camp at Central” was such a success that plans are being made for the 23rd event.

Central Christian College men’s soccer coach Aaron Hoxie directed the camp, which included other CCC coaches and McPherson High coaches. There were 83 campers who took part.

“I was extremely pleased with the kids that came out to the event this year,” Hoxie said. “Even on a major holiday, we still had families show up mid-week saying how much they value the camp. All of the players were able to get a ton of touches on the ball in both exercises and competition. The fun factor was certainly high.”

Not only was McPherson well represented, but campers came from Hays, Lindsborg, Salina and Hutchinson.

“A large part of the camp was represented by many of the local clubs,” Hoxie said. “We had several players from Hutchinson Azzuri, SSC, FC Wichita, MKU and of course several MCFC in attendance. We had great presence in the high school division, including the women's team, which I was happy to see their commitment to getting better after coming off a grueling season.”
