McPherson High All-State wide receiver Jack Reifschneider has been added to the West team for the Kansas Shrine Bowl Football Game to be played July 29 at Butler County Community College in El Dorado.

Reifschneider was a two-time All-AVCTL first-team performer. He had a tremendous season for the 8-3 Bullpups in 2016 not only as a receiver, but a kick returner and defensive back.

Reifschneider has signed to play football with Fort Hays State.

In addition to being a football standout, Reifschneider garnered numerous honors during his career for the Bullpup baseball team and has been a mainstay for the McPherson American Legion baseball team in the summer, including a state championship.

“Jack is very deserving of this honor.  He battled back from a high ankle sprain sustained in the summer and was our go-to guy,” MHS coach Jace Pavlovich said. “He will represent McPherson High and the West team very well.”

Among Reifschneider’s teammates on the West team is Hesston’s Zach Esau. Former Hesston coach Clint Rider, who is now at Blue Valley Northwest, will be a West assistant coach.
