McPherson College men’s basketball coach Tim Swartzendruber continues to add depth to his roster with the recent signing of Texas guard Christian Vasquez to a letter of intent.

The 6-1 Vasquez hails from Dallas, where he played for Bryan Adams High School and attended the Townview School of Business and Management Magnet.

He averaged 4.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.6 steals per game.

"Chris is a very high academic player with a lot of upside," Swartzendruber said. "He is athletic and has a great knack to get to the basket. We are excited to have Chris join our Bulldog basketball family."

Vasquez graduated from the School of Business and Management Magnet at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center with honors, was named a Dallas Scholar and was a member of the National Honor Society.

He is the son of Chris Vasquez.
