Lackey shoots 81 in 2nd round

NEWTON — McPherson’s Jacob Lackey improved by one shot today in the Kansas Railer Stroke Play Championship at Sand Creek Station.

Lackey, who shot 82 on Friday, turned in an 81 today after rounds of 41-40. He started on the back nine and made five pars and four bogeys, then was just 2-over-par on the back until finishing double bogey-bogey on his final two holes.

He was in 82nd place.
