The Youth Services Department at the McPherson Public Library is kicking off their summer guest performer series on Thursday, June 29 with a return visit from Mad Science of Kansas City.

Mad Science will be performing their Build a Better World show twice, first at 10:00 am and then again at 1:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required, but large groups are asked to notify the library in advance.

“We are excited to have Mad Science of Kansas City back again this year,” said Jennifer McCulley, Youth Services Coordinator. “They are always a big hit with both children and adults. And, it is wonderful to see kids so excited about science.”

Each summer, Mad Science tailors their program to fit the summer theme of libraries throughout the country. This year’s theme is “Build a Better World,” and they will be demonstrating this in their interactive program.
