USD 418 Names Bryce McFarland As MHS Interim Principal

Bryce McFarland has been hired as the interim principal at the McPherson High School. The USD 418 School Board approved the appointment at the June 26th BOE meeting.

 The appointment comes after the resignation of Brad Plackemeier.

McFarland will serve through the 2017-18 school year, giving the MHS staff time to select a candidate to take the position permanently. McFarland has been serving as vice-principal of the High School and is familiar with the school and the responsibilities of the position.

At the June 5th BOE Meeting The board approved regretfully, to release Brad Plackemeier from his 2017-18 contractual obligations. The motion carried unanimously. MHS Principal Brad Plackemeier, accepted the position of Principal at Harbor Springs Middle School in Harbor Springs, Michigan. Plackemeier attended Central Missouri State University and received his bachelors and masters degrees.
