McPherson College finished in the upper half of the KCAC’s Commissioner’s Cup standings by placing sixth out of 12 schools, according to the compiling of points by the conference office.
The Commissioner’s Cup includes the various sports from the fall, winter and spring and point totals are attached in descending order.
The Bulldog athletic programs had a huge spring, winning KCAC championships in men’s and women’ tennis as well as men’s track and field.
There was quite a race at the top. Tabor wound up winning the title with 131 points, but there was no shortage of contenders as the Bluejays were followed by Friends (125), Saint Mary (122 1/2), Kansas Wesleyan (122), Ottawa (118) and Mac (117).
Then there was a dropoff to Southwestern, as it headed the second division with 102. The rest of the order included Sterling (84 1/2), Bethany (84), Oklahoma Wesleyan (80 1/2), York (65) and Bethel (50 1/2).
