McPherson College senior-to-be Aaron Bachura is the complete package.

Not only did Bachura have an excellent junior season for the Bulldog basketball team, but he is being lauded for his ability in the classroom.

The Council Grove High School graduate has been named to the 2016-2017 Honors Court by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

The NABC Honors Court recognizes those men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season. The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that these men possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.

Bachura is majoring in business management and had a 4.0 GPA this past semester. He played in all 30 games last season, starting 25, and ranked second on the team in scoring after averaging 14.5 points per game. Bachura drained 95 3-pointers and shot 37.4 percent from behind the arc. He also posted a career-high and team season-high 34 points against York College on the strength of seven 3-pointers.

He is one of 13 KCAC players selected for this year's Honors Court.
