McPherson High’s Jayse Alexander and Kollin Goering have been tabbed to be among the top linebackers in Kansas this year by the website CatchItKansas.com.

Alexander is the No. 10-ranked linebacker and Goering is a spot behind at No. 11.

Here is what the website had to say about the two Bullpups.

“Alexander’s technique is a big reason why he racked up 89 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two interceptions during his junior campaign. Coach Jace Pavlovich believes the Bullpup defense will be the team’s strong suit again in 2017.”

“Goering and Alexander are two of eight returners on defense for McPherson. Goering tallied 90 tackles as a junior and flies around to make big plays on defense.”

Riggs Robben of Carroll is the top-ranked linebacker by the website.
