WICHITA — Another member of McPherson High’s expected vaunted football defense has been ranked high as his position.

CatchItKansas.com  has ranked MHS’ Drew Labertew as the No. 5 safety in the area.

He joins Wyatt Seidl (defensive line), Jayse Alexander (linebacker), Kollin Goering (linebacker) and Ben Nikkel (corner) as players who are among the best at their position.

Here is what the website said about Labertew:

“Labertew’s length is maximized while playing free safety for the Bullpups. He gets in great position to make a play with good vision from the snap. During his junior season, Labertew totaled 67 tackles and three interceptions.”
