Lackey's win helps Team Kansas to title

AXTELL, Neb. — McPherson’s Jacob Lackey charged down the home stretch Tuesday to win his Kansas-Nebraska Junior Cup match and help Team Kansas win the title.

Lackey, after being all square after 15 holes with Nebraska’s Kellen Rossman, birdied holes 16 and 17 to win his match 2 & 1. Rossman lost despite winning hole No. 2 with a hole-in-one.

Lackey made an amazing eight birdies in his round.

Team Kansas won five of the eight singles matches to win the competition 9-7.
