Bulldog spikers triumph in opener

COLUMBIA, Mo. — McPherson College’s volleyball team picked up where it left off last year.

The Bulldogs, coming off a record-breaking season, opened their 2017 campaign Friday with a 3-0 victory over Stephens College, winning 25-22, 25-19, 25-20.

All-KCAC preseason pick Lexi Kite had a dominating night with 10 kills and 16 digs, not to mention 3 blocks and 2 aces.

Leia Seiler had 10 kills. Kaitlyn Heines was tops in assists with 15 and Morgan Little contributed 13.

The Bulldogs are right back in action this morning playing a tough opponent in Central Methodist. The action begins at 11:00.
