FAYETTE, Mo. — McPherson College’s volleyball team stepped up in competition on Saturday, losing a 3-1 decision to Central Methodist University to finish its road trip at .500 at 1-1.

The teams split the first two sets, the Bulldogs winning Set 2 by a 25-23 count. The Eagles pretty much took control from there by winning the final two sets.

Lexi Kite once again was dominating for Mac, leading the team with 14 kills and 22 digs. Kite is an All-KCAC preseason selection.

Leia Seiler had 10 kills, while Morgan Little led in assists with 14. Jamie Siess came up with 14 digs to augment Kite.

The two Missouri matches — Mac had swept Stephens College on Friday — were a tuneup for Wednesday’s KCAC opener against Sterling. The Bulldogs will be hosting the dual at 7 p.m. at the Sport Center.
