AURORA, Colo. — McPherson College’s women’s soccer team bounced back strong from its season-opening loss with a complete performance on Monday against Johnson & Wales as it crafted a 2-0 shutout.
Danielle Kakebeen scored just 3 minutes into the game to ignite the Bulldogs. Ana Guerrero was credited with an assist on the play.
The score stayed that way until midway through the second half when Alexis Lynn scored her second goal in as many games to double the lead.
The Bulldogs were outshot 11-5, but played solid defense. New goalie Christie Siber came up big with five saves.
Mac is home on Saturday to take on Avila University, with game time 1 p.m. at The Kennel (the field just east of the football stadium).
