McPherson College’s 43-14 season-opening football victory over Texas Wesleyan on Saturday resulted in the Bulldogs sweeping all the KCAC weekly honors announced on Tuesday.

Quarterback Ed Crouch was named the KCAC Offensive Player of the Week, passing for 201 yards and rushing for another 75, even though he basically just handed the ball off after Mac had built a 33-0 halftime lead. Two of his passes went for TDs.

Thomas Lanktree was named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week. He had an interception return for a touchdown and had 5 tackles, one for a loss.

Freshman Jack Reid, in his first collegiate game, was named KCAC Special Teams Player of the Week. He was 3 of 3 on field goals and made all but one PAT.

Mac is off this week, returning to action Sept. 16 at Bethany in the KCAC opener for both teams.
