SOLOMON — What more does the under-the-radar Inman volleyball team have to do to be noticed?
The Teutons, who were absent from last week’s KVA poll even though they had started the season 9-0, made more noise on Saturday by going 5-0 to win the Solomon Invitational, the 10th year in a row they have achieved that feat.
First-year coach Emily Butler’s team did not lose a set on the day.
The scores were:
• Inman 25-25, Tescott 8-13
• Inman 25-25, Peabody 10-4
• Inman 25-25, Elyria Christian 19-23
• Inman 25-25, Wakefield 18-14
• Inman 25-25, Solomon 21-22
For the Teutons, it was a three-pronged kill attack as Kassie Sneath (29), Makayla Michael (22) and Jalyn Froese (21) all had monster days. Piloting the offense was Beth Balzer, who had 71 assists.
