It was a milestone night for McPherson College volleyball coach Jessica Cleveland.
In only her seventh year as a collegiate coach, Cleveland recorded the 100th win of her career here Wednesday as the Bulldogs overwhelmed York College, 3-0.
Mac stormed to 25-14, 25-20, 25-16 victories to improve to 2-1 in the KCAC and 6-3 overall.
Cleveland won 73 matches in five years at Hesston College and is now a splendid 27-15 in her one-plus years at Mac.
“We finally found our flow this weekend in Omaha and got to execute it against York," Cleveland said. "We were aggressive with attacks from (Riley) Bradbury and (Leia) Seiler carrying the team and giving us a chance to rest (Lexi) Kite and (Mady) Woog for Saturday's match against Ottawa. It was fun to see the team have a confident win after Saint Mary and to pick up my 100th career win."
Bradbury led the team in kills with 15, while Morgan Little and Kaitlyn Heines were tops in assists with 19 and 18, respectively. Jamie Siess led in digs with 12.
The Bulldogs now enter a tremendously difficult part of the schedule as they host KCAC leader Ottawa on Saturday, with match time 3:00 at the Sport Center. Tabor and Kansas Wesleyan, two of the other top teams in the KCAC, follow on the schedule.
