MUSKOGEE, Okla. — Central Christian College’s volleyball team made history on Friday when it recorded its first Sooner Athletic Conference win, 3-1.

The Tigers won 27-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-13 over Bacone College.  They are now 1-2 in the SAC as they are a first-year member and 3-5 overall.

“The girls had a week full of great practices this week and they were finally able to translate it to the court tonight” CCC coach Jeremy Manning said. “We kept the pressure on their defense while slowing down their top two attacking threats. Our out-of-system swings kept us in the rally and even turned the tide during the second and fourth set. We also had our middles working all night with Makalyn Tuttle and Morgan Cook with 9 and 10 kills. When our offense is clicking we are a tough team to stop, we are looking forward to keeping our momentum going tomorrow afternoon against John Brown."

Kasi Kraus led in kills with 16. Desiree Padilla was tops in digs.
