Viking harriers compete in big meet

LAWRENCE — Smoky Valley’s cross country teams competed in the Rim Rock Farm Classic on Saturday, which is the site of the state meet for Classes 6A, 5A and 3A next month.

The Viking boys were a creditable ninth out of 47 teams, while the girls were 22nd out of 31 teams. MHS coach Holly Lindquist said she was pleased with her team’s performance.
