The undefeated McPherson Middle School girls tennis team cruised to yet another victory on Thursday, routing Newton 15-1.

“The girls finally got to play this week after getting postponed on Monday and then a cancellation on Tuesday,” MMS coach Ricardo Sanchez said. “Newton had fewer girls than us, so some of our players ended up only playing one match. The girls all played pretty well, although there were some strategy issues that we need to work through for our next few outings.”

MMS is at Salina Lakewood today for a makeup meet and Sanchez said this could be the Bullpups’ best test to date.

“I know our players are going to be pumped and ready to play their best to finish off our dual season,” Sanchez said. “We will then host the end-of-the season Pioneer League Division 1 Tournament at MHS on Monday at 9:00.”
