NORTH NEWTON — McPherson College’s streaking volleyball team pitched yet another shutout on Friday, blanking Bethel College 3-0 to improve to 6-3 in the KCAC and 10-5 overall.

Mac, which has won its last three matches without dropping a set, rolled to easy 25-13, 25-18, 25-21 victories as for the first time in six matches it didn’t play an upper-division team.

“Tonight was a sweet sweep because I had the chance to put some players in off the bench to see what they would do in pressure situations," Mac coach Jessica Cleveland said. “(Lexi) Kite was focused and kept our team stable.”

Kite, a candidate for KCAC Player of the Week, had yet another double-double with 12 kills and 15 digs. Jamie Siess had 16 digs, while Morgan Little led in assists with 15 as Mac went deep into the bench and played four setters.

After a long stretch on the road, the Bulldogs are finally back home on Wednesday to take on second-division Southwestern, with match time at 7 p.m.
