It’s the calm before the storm.

McPherson High’s boys soccer team hosts El Dorado tonight for what should be a comfortable Bullpup victory if past lopsided scores are any indication.

The action starts at 6:00 at McPherson Stadium, with the varsity getting under way at 7:30. Catch the varsity game on 96.7 KBBE-FM with Voice of the Bullpups Jim Joyner on the call.

MHS, if all goes according to plan, will be 7-3 after tonight’s game. El Dorado will no doubt try Mulvane’s approach of packing in the goal since it doesn’t have the firepower of MHS. The Bullpups have won their last two games by 10-0, goal-mercy scores.

After tonight, the Bullpups have a tough four-game stretch coming up. They play Thursday at Salina South, then host Hutchinson, play at Buhler and host Valley Center. The latter three games are in the same week, with the Hutchinson game on Monday, Buhler on Tuesday and Valley Center on Thursday.
