BURRTON — Canton-Galva’s cross country team had a good day on Thursday in the Burrton Invitational.

The C-G varsity girls were especially strong as Leah Silsby was ninth and Maddie Snow took 15th.

Also, the junior high teams were solid as Morgan Becker won the eighth-grade boys division and Sage Toews won the seventh-grade girls division.

“Morgan and Sage were both able to take first in their respective races and finished off their seasons on a high note,” C-G coach Lyle Silsby said. “Hayden (Lance) ran well the first mile and then twisted an ankle, but still finished third.”
