WAXAHACHIE, Texas — The Sooner Athletic Conference is proving to be a challenge for the Central Christian College volleyball team.

The Tigers had another tough time in a conference match on Saturday as SAC leader Southwestern Assemblies of God captured a 3-0 decision.

The Lions routed the Tigers 25-10, 25-6 in the first two sets, but Central showed a lot of grit in playing SAGU within 25-23 in the final set.

Morgan Cook had 4 kills to lead CCC. Hannah Fredrickson chipped in with 6 assists, while she had 8 digs, tying her for team honors with Desiree Padilla.

The Tigers are now 1-8 in the SAC and 4-12 overall. They travel to Manhattan Christian on Tuesday for a non-conference match.
