No women’s basketball team in the KCAC has more experience than McPherson College’s Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs basically return their entire team, so experience will be a strength when they open their season tonight at the Sport Center hosting Randall University.

Tip time is 6 p.m.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 13-17 season and were 8-14 in the KCAC. They are picked to finish eighth in the conference this season by the media and ninth by the coaches.

Coach Gordon Reimer’s Bulldogs will be led by the versatile Cami Richardson, who was the KCAC Freshman of the Year and is a preseason All-KCAC selection.

Also back for the Bulldogs are starters Brooklyn Coe, Kristina Battle, Danielle Holt and Brooke Zimmerman, along key sixth player Brooke Racette. Maressah Milum, who was an early season standout before being injured, is back as well.

With so many players back, Reimer didn’t bring in many new players. Two of the best could be Sonerka White and Julie Olvera, both transfers.

Mac opened the season with Randall last year, squeaking out a 59-52 road victory. Among its players on the roster is Isabella Bacon, who played for the Bulldogs the first semester before transferring.
