GREENSBORO, N.C. — McPherson High is home to one of the top high school female wrestlers in the nation.
MHS’ Mya Kretzer took third place this past weekend in the Super32 Tournament at 115 pounds.
Kretzer went 4-1 as she went up against wrestlers from Texas, New Hampshire, Ohio and New York.
“She continues to perform very well at the national level against the best girls in the United States,” MHS coach Doug Kretzer said. “She’s done with the national competition now as she prepares for the Kansas high school season.”
According to the Super32 website, “Super 32 has grown into the toughest preseason tournament in the country, if not, one of the toughest high school events in the nation regardless of season and style.”
