Two Central Christian College wrestlers have earned mention in the Sooner Athletic Conference preseason poll and one is being recognized nationally.
Devontae Fitzgerald, who competed in the NAIA national tournament last year, is picked as the fourth-best wrestler in the conference at 149 pounds and also made the NAIA national poll at No. 19.
Terrell Banuelos is picked third in the SAC 125-pound class.
“We are all very proud of Terrell and Devontae for being ranked in the conference and for Devontae being the first Tiger wrestler to make it into a national poll,” Central coach Tom Carr said. "I am looking forward to seeing them grow this year and be leaders as the team starts its first full year of competition."
Central has a nine-member team this season and will compete in a tournament this weekend hosted by the University of Wyoming.
