Central Christian College’s women’s basketball team finally got its offense untracked here Friday, but defense remains a problem.

The Tigers lost an 83-73 verdict to Grace University on the first day of the Classic for Christ Tournament at Alexander Arena and are now 0-3 on the season. They play Oklahoma Wesleyan at 4:00 today, followed by a men’s game between the schools at 6.

Abbie Banks scored 21 points to lead the Tigers, while Chloe Mefford added 15 and Holly Golden scored 14. Mefford, who is showing great promise, added 13 rebounds for a double-double

Darielle Evans fired in 26 points for the Royals, though she needed 28 shot attempts. Grace chucked it 80 times, making 31 in the fast-paced game.
