YORK, Neb. — Bethany College’s women’s basketball team leveled its record at 3-3 on Saturday with a 70-57 victory over Peru State in the second day of the York Classic.

Marissa Pope again led the Swedes with 16 points. Samirah Miller (15), Sydney Ahaneku (14), Sarah Bartel (11) and Lauren Welsch (10) were all in double figures as well. Ahaneku finished with a double-double as she pulled down 11 rebounds.

The game was the final tuneup before the start of conference play on Wednesday when the Swedes entertain Bethel.
