McPherson College’s women’s basketball team will find out just how good it really is on Saturday.

The Bulldogs, 1-0 in the KCAC and 5-1 overall, head over to Hillsboro for a 5 p.m. showdown with conference preseason favorite Tabor.

McPherson College outlasted previously undefeated Oklahoma Wesleyan 91-84 on Wednesday behind 23 points by Brooklyn Coe. Tabor was an 83-75 winner over Southwestern to open conference play.

The Bluejays lost their first two games of the season, but since have won three in a row.

In the 7 p.m. men’s game, one of the teams will win their first KCAC game as both lost conference openers on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs were dealt an 82-66 setback by Oklahoma Wesleyan, while Tabor was edged 81-76 by No. 13-ranked Southwestern.

Tabor’s lone win is over Hastings College as it’s 1-4 overall. The Bulldogs also have played Hastings, losing 79-70. They, too, are 1-4.
